Featured Artists in the Gallery

The work of our featured artist in the gallery Roxane Wilson is up and creating a buzz!

These pieces draw you in with texture that makes you want to look at it from all angles. Drawing from the richness of the Northern Nevada landscape that surrounds us, Roxane creates stunning landscapes. This series is a new experiment for Roxane in using very basic materials and tools- The substrate is poster board with edges taped, she applies latex paint. Using a large putty knife, a screwdriver, and a plastic bristle brush she moves through the layers and blend colors. Sometimes she scrapes with a plastic straw and prints with cardboard stamps, even using bubble wrap for texture.

These pieces would make a fabulous addition to any collector whose heart is in the Northern Nevada outdoors. They have to be seen in person to truly be appreciated.
