Earth-Sky-Water. Advanced Mosaic Workshop

Local award-winning mosaic artist, Elizabeth Wright, will be conducting a full day mosaic workshop where attendees will learn how to create a mosaic with hand cut stained glass that depicts the beautiful nature all around us.  This class will cover the complete process from picking glass, cutting glass (different styles) and picking grout colors.  The creation of this nature piece will show how stained glass patterns, the flow of the glass and certain cuts can give life to a piece (ie., shadows, movement, etc.).

Each attendee will need to bring a picture of a favorite place in nature.  This picture can include mountains, lake, ocean, beach, trees, etc.  Different times of day – sunrise, sunset, cloudy or clear skies! Only nature! Each student should bring a 8”x 10” or 12”x 12”  picture frame and the chosen picture should printed to fit the size of the frame chosen. All other tools, tessera and supplies will be provided.  Elizabeth will provide guidance on the picture chosen prior to the class.

Masks are required for this workshop.
