Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Cancellation Policy for Workshops?
Preregistration is required for all classes including payment in full. A full refund is available for cancellations up to 7 days before class, half refund 2-7 days before class. There is no refund within 48 hours of class. While we understand that things come up, we also respect the time and effort our teachers put into preparing for the amount of students that registered for their class. If there is a waiting list or you can find someone to fill your spot, we are happy to offer a full workshop credit or get you scheduled for the next class.
What if I want to attend a class but the date listed doesn't work for me?
We offer private bookings for parties of 5 or more for most workshops! Just call or email us to inquire about availability.
How do I redeem a Gift Certificate for a Workshop?
Give us a call or stop by to register. Our online registration doesn't have the option to accept gift certificates.
A class says SOLD OUT. Do you offer a waiting list?
Yes! Occasionally we have a last minute cancellation and would love to be able to accommodate those who need to cancel as well as those who want to attend!
What is required to book a Private Party?
Payment in full for the minimum amount of students (depends on instructor's individual requirements) is due 10 days before classtime and is non-refundable.
Is there a minimum amount of students required for workshops?
Each workshop has a minimum amount of students required to pre-register for the class to be held.
This number varies by instructor. If minimums are not met within 4 days of class, class may be cancelled. In this case, the class fees are refunded or applied toward another class.
Is there a minimum age for the workshops?
Our classes are suited for ages 15 and up, some are appropriate for 12 and up. Please inquire about specific classes.
The link takes me to Brown Paper Tickets which uses Paypal, but I don't have a Paypal account. What are my options?
You can check out as a guest using your credit card on the Paypal site, if you do not have a Paypal account. If you are concerned about online registration, you can call the studio with a credit/debit card, but the same fees apply that show up on the BPT ticketing link. Want to avoid fees? Stop by the studio with check or cash, or if time permits, call to reserve your spot and drop a check in the mail. All classes must be prepaid so that we can pay our instructors on or before the day of class.
Can we bring food to workshops?
For classes that are under 4 hours, we ask that you eat before or after coming to the studio. For classes over 4 hours, a lunch break is often factored in. Our shorter (1.5 to 3 Hour) classes utilize the entire time for instruction and creating and there is no time to stop for a food break. We also cannot have food on the work tables in many of our classes for safety reasons. If you are booking a private party and want to bring food for a special occasion, check to see if our gallery room is available for rent after the workshop. It is available for $25/hr.
Can we bring wine/alcoholic beverages to workshops?
No. Although the trend lately is to sip & craft/paint, we do not allow alcohol during our classes. The first reason is safety. Many of our workshops involve cutting and working with glass. Even though most of our workshops are beginner level, the quality of class as well as instruction requires the students to have a level of attention that shouldn't be inhibited by alcohol. Also, we pride ourselves on great teachers who make their students feel at ease when delving into a new medium. You are welcome to bring non-alcoholic beverages in a container with a lid. Lids are required for safety reasons in all Mosaic and Fused Glass workshops. If you are renting the gallery room after a private workshop, beer and wine are permitted.
