Felted Butterfly Brooch

Flowers are blooming and butterflies are out to play. With Mother's day just around the corner what better way to celebrate than to make your very own felt butterfly? This class is an introduction to 2-d "wool painting." Students will work with flat felt sheets as a base and needle felt all the details with loose wool. Best yet, pin-backs will be available so students can turn their creation into a wearable brooch. These little beauties could be an excellent gift for a mom in your life. All materials are provided, a tool set is also provided as a loaner and will be available for purchase for $10 if you'd like to continue on with needle felting! Ages 14+ (this is listed as a three hour class, but it is likely we will wrap up a little earlier)
