Glass Fusion Jewelry

Special WCSD Spring Break offering!

In house artist/instructor Donna Smit gives students a thorough lecture on the science of glass, discusses tools and techniques, and will give a couple of unique demonstrations in this introductory workshop. One demonstration will be the use of a microwave kiln to create small jewelry pieces. The other demonstration will be using a Dremel with a diamond drill bit to learn to "etch" out Mandela designs. Donna will also discuss what types of findings to use and adhesive to create your own jewelry. Even if you have taken fused glass workshops from Donna, these are never discussed techniques for the new or seasoned student. Each student creates five pieces.Ex: 2 pairs of earrings and a pendant OR five pendants.  All supplies are included. Ages 14+ and up.
