Glass Fusion Suncatcher

Copper Cat Studio's in-house glass fusion artist Donna Smit teaches this glass fusion suncatcher workshop. Each student can create (1)-4" x 6" suncatcher or a couple of smaller ones. Each student will receive a lecture on the science of glass, types of glass such as millefiori, vitrograph, stringers, dichroic and frit, and a glass cutting and tool demonstration. Composition and design will be covered with examples for students to be inspired to create their own unique artwork. Students can create an abstract design, landscape and more! Donna has some pre-made shapes that students can utilize as well. Students will use fusible bails or copper, to create hooks for a beaded wire hanger to be added after firing. Pieces will need to be left at the studio to be fired in a kiln. All supplies are included. This is a perfect workshop for beginners and fun for experienced students.
