Glass Fusion Suncatchers

Taught by in house artist, Donna Smit, will guide students in creating two glass fusion suncatchers. These suncatchers are approximately  6” and students will learn to use powdered enamels with stencils to create stunning designs. Students will also learn to use kiln paper between layers of glass using cutouts. Each student will learn to cut glass and learn to use nippers to create small petals for the flowered designs. A variety of materials will be used such as murrini dragonflies, bees, and flowers. These beauties can be indoor or outdoors and make perfect gifts. Donna will teach you several different techniques that include copper inclusions that beads can be added later after kiln firing. All materials are included. Glass cutting experience is helpful, but demonstration will be given.  *Students will want bring masks when using the enamels to this workshop*
