Glass Fusion Turtle Yard Art

Students will a fused glass turtle. Previous glass cutting experienced preferred but not necessary. Donna Smit, in house glass fusion and mixed media artist, teaches students the use of copper inclusions, enamels, and creating your own clear frit to create scales. The student will also learn about layering glass- transparent and opaque and the use of stringers and frit. Each turtle comes with a yard stake or can be made into a suncatcher. Pieces will be fired and ready for pickup at the end of the week.
