Glass on Glass Mosaic Suncatcher

Learn how diverse mosaics can be when gluing over a transparent substrate! Copper Cat Studio owner and mosaic artist Katie Packham guides students in creating a colorful suncatcher using a rainbow selection of stained glass. Class includes a detailed lecture on mosaic techniques and materials specific to the Glass on Glass process. Students make a 6x6 or 4x6 hanging suncatcher or tabletop piece. A grouting demo will be included and students can take grout home to complete the project or come back to the studio to grout with assistance.

As with all classes that involve glass cutting, please wear shoes that fully cover your feet (no sandals or flip flops) and clothes you might craft in. Glass shards don't feel good between your toes and the silicone adhesive we use in class is messy and permanent. Our workshops are appropriate for ages 15+
