Intro to Mosaics in Mortar

I renamed this one, because it was confusing for students new to this technique. It used to be called Intro to Smalti, but the technique of using mortar is the most important aspect of this class.

This is our final intro to mortar before Kelley Knickerbocker comes to town. If you are new to using mortar and are attending her classes, this is a good crash course for the basics!

Taking our mosaics to the next level, owner and mosaic artist Katie Packham leads students through creating a mixed media mosaic project with the direct set method using tinted mortar and wedi board as the substrate.
