Metal Clay Jewelry

Have you ever heard of metal you can sculpt with your hands? Learn everything you need to know to make your own custom jewelry from metal clay completely by hand. You will learn to roll, shape, cut, texture, refine, fire and polish metal clay. The instructor will guide you with design considerations that will lead to successful handmade pieces. You will learn about firing techniques such as using a kiln or a torch to fire your pieces. You will have access to a variety of tools and equipment but please feel free to bring your own items to incorporate into your designs such as rubber stamps, texture plates, leaves and anything that has a texture that could be printed onto metal clay.  You will finish a pair of fine silver earrings, pendant or a few charms and leave with the expertise and knowledge required to make metal clay jewelry on your own.

Class cost includes 15g fine silver metal clay and materials used in class.

This workshop is appropriate for ages 15+.
