Mosaic 101

Students have the option of choosing between the Mosaic 101- a 4-5 hour class where the student creates a 10 x 10 Framed Mirror or 6x12 rectangle plaque or the "Mini", more like a three hours class making a 4x12 or 6x8 plaque. Copper Cat Studio owner and lead mosaicist, Katie gives a very detailed lecture on the basics of design, assembly, materials & grouting. All materials are included and feature tesserae from Katie's personal collection -glass tile, metal tiles, rocks, glass gems, shells, marble, stone,ceramic tile, stained glass, handmade tiles and many other finds from around the country and world. Feel free to bring in pieces to add. Students have the option of returning to the studio at a later date for a private grouting session (included in class fee) or taking dry grout home to complete the project. If you think you may want to continue on with mosaics, this is the class that you want to take!

Masks are optional if you have been FULLY vaccinated. Proof of vaccination is required if you wish to go maskless during class.
