Needle Felted Monsters

This monster maker class is great for students who have already taken a needle felting class and are ready to dive deeper into the medium. You will get a chance to explore fibers and form instead of doing a preset design - It's time to get creative! We will go over three topics that will help you create your own one-of-a-kind creature. First up is armature, which is like a wire skeleton for your project. Next up is fiber selection, we'll talk about different wools and even some non-wool options for felting so you can feel more confident if you ever want to buy supplies on your own. Finally, we'll talk about adding non-felt items to enhance your creature...

Students will have access to a large variety of materials for making their monsters, including but not limited to multiple types of wool, wire, eyes, and premade clay pieces. A tool set is provided as a loaner and will be available for purchase for $10 if you'd like to continue on with needle felting! It is highly recommended you have previous needle felting experience before taking this class.
