Resin Plank Holiday Edition

Copper Cat Studio's in-house glass fusion and mixed media artist, Donna Smit, guides students in creating a holiday themed Resin plank. We will have Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas elements to include in your project. This is a beginner level class, and the first half hour will begin with a lecture on the application process of applying materials on a pre-painted wooden plank substrate. Students will add layers of bits of crash glass, beads, jewelry as well as organic materials such as seashells, wood, moss, etc. Students will also learn basic skills to cut glass and use recyclable materials. After all the design elements have been placed on the plank, resin is poured over the entire plank to seal all the components.
