Resin Plank or Frame

This workshop taught by in-house artist Donna Smit will guide students through a mindful creative process reusing planks of wood to c reate a one of a kind, dimensional piece of hanging art. Planks will be painted in acrylic paint prior to class to allow drying time. This workshop, you have the option of creating your multimedia project in a frame. Students will learn to break bottles, vases, and cups to create a unique design. Students will have access to a wide variety of materials and explore textures and layering. Crash glass, stained glass, and even plastic can be used to create beautiful artwork. Vintage jewelry can be used as well and students are encouraged to bring baubles from home.
