Silk Painting with Louise Noel

Special Sunday class offering!

Join silk artist Louise Noel for a one day journey into the brilliant and joyous realm of silk painting. Students have the option to paint a LONG 54x8 scarf or a SQUARE 21 x 21 scarf. Louise guides students using the Serti (closed fence method of silk painting). An assortment of patterns is available for students to choose from. We will use various resists...dive into vibrant color, play with surface treatments, use alcohol and salt to create texture and movement. Students may not finish during the time allotted, but all supplies (paints, frames, etc) are yours to keep and finish at home. Steam setting will be provided after scarves are completed (Louise provides an envelope to send the scarves to her if you are finishing at home) so that you can proudly wear or display your art. Patterns are provided to assist the students in design.
